Color development is an area that requires a great deal of time and money. If you rely on the old methods of multiple submits and rejections before you get the final approval, you are most likely squeezed for time to actually get production completed.
The Match Pantone Colors web site was developed by Clariant to supply users of the Pantone Fashion and Home Color System® with starting formulations to match the selected Pantone color. The formulations are based on the latest globally available dyestuffs from Clariant. The proper dye selection in the beginning is critical to getting the quickest possible approvals.
As a reminder, the purchase of the Pantone Swatch Card is required to gain access to the formulation system. Make sure your dyeing mill has the new standard card to verify they are getting the best possible match. The Clariant dyestuff recipes provided are starting formulations for the selected fiber. They will of course need to be adjusted for local conditions and your specific fibers. Having the Pantone standard card and the Clariant recipe will insure that you get a SMART start on a timely match.
When you are ready to get started, click on the Formulations for Matching Pantone Colors tab on the menu bar to the left and request your user name and password. Once you receive your password, you will be able to return to the site and request color recipes when you need them. |  |
